Zodiac on Earth
The first idea for this Zodiac on the Earth came to me from Dane Rudhyar. He placed the zodiac on the earth. He started the zodiac connection at the Pyramid and sphinx which he gave to the Leo Virgo cusp. This idea has remained with me over the years and is the same one used in these hexagram to cities associations.
The exact relation of each line of the Ching hexagrams to a certain degrees of geographical longitude is presented here.
It allows for anyone to take the coordinates of where they live, or are standing, and find the specific correlating I Ching Hexagram and line.
It is organized by Zodiac sign so you might have to search for your city or location. All of the main cities are listed, as well as the actual degree-minute coordinates for each line of each hexagram.
The Zodiac is reversed for the Southern Hemisphere and the hexagram correspondence is adjusted to align.
Zodiac to Earth: Southern Hemisphere
South Africa is Aquarius and Pisces.
Australia is mostly Gemini, the West coast is Taurus and the East coast is Cancer.
New Zealand is Cancer
The West Coast of South America is Scorpio
and the East Coast of South America is Sagittarius.
Zodiac on Earth: The Freedom Increasing Half
In the Zodiac, the signs when the daylight is increasing are Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus and Gemini.
In the southern hemisphere of earth this includes South continental Africa, and all of Australia except the East coast
The increasing daylight implies a momentum towards more freedom and independence.
This is the side of the SH world that pushes the hardest for freedom. This is the bastion of independence in the free world.

In the Zodiac, the signs when the darkness is increasing are Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius.
In the southern hemisphere of earth this includes the East coast of Australia, New Zealand, and South America.
The increasing darkness implies a momentum towards more community and responsibility.
This is the most communal oriented side of the SH world and with that comes increasing social sensitivity, responsibility and teamwork.

In the Zodiac, the signs when the darkness is greater are Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
In the SH of earth this includes South America and Southern continental Africa.

This is the most communal oriented side of the SH world and with that comes the need for greater interrelationships, responsibility and teamwork.

In the SH of earth this includes most of Australia with the exception of the East coast.
The daylight is greater and the daylight is increasing. This is spring and the people here are the most blatantly self centred, and actively pursuing the increase of freedom.

In the Zodiac, the summer signs are Cancer, Leo and Virgo.
In the SH of earth this includes the East coast of Australia and New Zealand.
The daylight is greater but the darkness is increasing. This is summer and these countries have a strong sense of independence but are moving towards responsible cooperation, or at least their actions have a strong effect on each other.

In the Zodiac, the autumn signs are Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius.
In the SH of earth this includes South America.
The darkness is greater and the darkness is increasing. This is autumn and these countries have a strong sense of the needs of the masses. They are moving towards responsible cooperation. The demands of the group tend to oversee and regulate independent initiatives.
